In alignment with the Viksit Jharkhand & Viksit Bharat Mission and to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among young minds, Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), Ranchi, has organized a multi-level Idea-Pitching Competition. The competition began with the institute-level round, which was held on 11-12 December, followed by the state-level round, which was hosted by BIT SINDRI on 14 December.

The final round of the Idea pitching competition was held successfully on Saturday, December 21st.
Students across the state participated in the event showcasing their unique innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.

A total of 30 teams were selected for the final round, five of which were from BIT. The teams presented their innovative and creative startup ideas aimed at addressing real-world challenges, from sustainable development to technological advancements. Their presentations were judged based on originality and practical feasibility.

In the moment of recognition and pride, BIT Sindri’s team QR WEDS (Aryan Ray, Md. Ibran, and Arshdul Quadri of Mechanical Engineering, 2k23) secured the 1st position in category A, a testament to the institute’s consistent focus on nurturing talent and promoting innovation. The winning team was awarded by the Vice Chancellor of JUT, Dr. D.K Singh with the prestigious Grant seed of ₹50,000 which will be initial funding to develop further and implement their startup idea.


The event was organized under the efficient leadership of BIT Sindri, ensuring smooth coordination and execution. Faculty members played a significant role in mentoring the teams and guiding them throughout the competition. The students’ remarkable performance not only brought laurels to the institute but also reinforced its position as a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship in the state.

This triumph will inspire other students to pursue entrepreneurial ventures and contribute to the startup ecosystem. With this achievement, BIT Sindri continues to strengthen its legacy of excellence and innovation, paving the way for future leaders and innovators.
