‘Cleaning and organising is a practice, not a project.’ The Eco Club of B.I.T. Sindri actively organises events around the year reminding the same. Recently B.I.T. witnessed the second phase of the ‘Clean BIT, Green BIT’ initiative.
Members of the Eco Club, to encourage the youth regarding cleanliness, cleaned the B.I.T. premises under the second phase of the ‘Clean BIT, Green BIT’ initiative. This program was organised under the leadership of our Director, Dr. D. K. Singh. The event was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Ghanshyam, Dr. R. K. Verma, and Prof. P. K. Singh. The first phase of the event saw installation of dustbins in different parts of the campus. To make people aware, banners were put up too. This Cleanliness Drive was a great success with the collaboration of hundreds of active participants of B.I.T. During this program, students were motivated to use more and more wastebins for proper disposal of garbage.
Eco Club is committed to conducting such programs that advance the overall personality of undergraduates by indulging them in such social activities. This is a commendable step towards achieving a ‘Swachh Bharat’. Eco Club aims to transform B.I.T. into ‘Beautiful BIT’. This event witnessed the presence and zealous participation of B.I.T. professors and students.
“The objective of cleaning is not just to clean, but to feel happy living within that environment.” – Marie Kondo. Needless to mention, students’ success is directly tied to the cleanliness of their learning environment. Let’s join hands to make the campus cleaner, faces happier and future of BITIAN’s brighter.
