This Saturday BIT Sindri witnessed a thrilling inauguration ceremony of Tech Mahotsav ’23, as the air was thick with excitement and a palpable sense of enthusiasm. Kicking off the session, the speaker Shriya Singh (Electrical Engineering, 2019) provided a concise overview of the illustrious history of BIT Sindri, highlighting its unwavering commitment to the fields of science and technology. The Arts Club of BIT Sindri gave an astonishing performance of the college’s Kulgeet, echoing the vibrant spirit of the institute. Following this, the esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. D.K. Singh, Director of BIT Sindri, Prof. (Dr.) Ghanshyam, Head of CDC, Dr. Upendra Prasad, Convenor, Tech Mahotsav, Dr. Pankaj Rai, Convenor, Tech Mahotsav, Dr. Vineet Shekher, Co-ordinator, Tech Mahotsav, Dr. Dinesh Prabhakar, Co-coordinator, Tech Mahotsav, esteemed guests including Mr. Rajeev Kumar, ED (Materials and Management, SAIL-ISP), Mr. Sanjib Ranjan Das, CGM (Instrument and Automation, SAIL-ISP), Mr. Deepak Kumar, Senior Manager (Control and Automation, SAIL-ISP), Mr. Gaurav Kumar Singh, Manager (HRD, SAIL-ISP) and faculty members, kindled the ceremonial lamp in the Lamp Lighting Ceremony. Afterward, to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, the Arts Club presented a mesmerizing rendition of the Saraswati Vandana.

Dr. D.K. Singh, Director, BIT Sindri graced the session with his inspiring words, expressing his boundless joy at the organization of the Tech Mahotsav ’23. He appeared confident that this tech fest would be a fertile ground for innovation and nurture students’ technical skills. He took a moment to appreciate the efforts of his colleagues in organizing the fest. He also extended his heartfelt gratitude to the guests for gracing the event with their presence. After that Dr. Vineet Shekher, Co-ordinator, Tech Mahotsav expressed his appreciation and sincere thanks to his colleagues. He highlighted the significance of this opportunity, believing that it would enable the students to develop practical skills in technology and provide them with a platform to showcase their technical prowess.

Subsequently, Mr. Rajeev Kumar, ED (Materials and Management, SAIL-ISP), took the podium and reminisced about his days as a student of the institution. He was amazed at the remarkable progress the institute had made over the years. He expressed his happiness at witnessing the boundless enthusiasm and zeal of the students. Mr. Sanjib Ranjan Das, CGM (Instrument and Automation, SAIL-ISP), followed suit, highlighting the impeccable standards of BIT Sindri. He emphasised the importance of Tech Mahotsav, which would provide the students with exposure to real-world challenges in the industry. Following him, Deepak Jain, CGM (Electrical, SAIL-ISP), was moved by the sparkle in the eyes of the students and expressed his delight at their enthusiastic participation. He believed that the students possess the immense potential and will achieve unprecedented heights. The session was then addressed by Mr. Deepak Kumar, Senior Manager (Control and Automation, SAIL-ISP). He showed immense pleasure in the students’ zeal and innovativeness and wished them every success in their future endeavours. Finally, Mr. Gaurav Kumar Singh, Manager (HRD, SAIL-ISP), reminisced about his time as a student in the college and spoke about the role of SAIL-ISP in nurturing technical skills. He urged the students to seize all the opportunities provided at the fest and gain exposure to industrial capabilities and real-world working experience.

The event’s finale culminated with the official inauguration of the Tech Mahotsav ’23 banner. Dr. D.K. Singh, Director, BIT Sindri presented the memento to Mr. Rajeev Kumar, ED (Materials and Management, SAIL-ISP), Dr. Upendra Prasad, Convenor, Tech Mahotsav presented the memento to Mr. Sanjib Ranjan Das, CGM (Instrument and Automation, SAIL-ISP), Dr. Pankaj Rai, Convenor, Tech Mahotsav presented the memento to Mr. Deepak Kumar, Senior Manager (Control and Automation, SAIL-ISP) and Dr. Vineet Shekher, Co-ordinator, Tech Mahotsav, presented the memento to Mr. Gaurav Kumar Singh, Manager (HRD, SAIL-ISP).

At the conclusion of the event, a ‘Vote of thanks’ was delivered by Riya Singh (Chemical Engineering, 2019) to the Director, esteemed guests, faculty members, coordinators, and the audience, officially bringing the ceremony to a close and marking the beginning of the technical celebration in which the students would showcase their knowledge of technology.
