The month of March is witnessing great activity in our institution with a flurry of events being organized within the span of last few days.
The art and craft club of institute, Painting Wing came up with its flagship event SAMARPAN 2K18 to promote the budding artists of the region with a 2-day painting exhibition. The event organized in partnership with Jhar-Kraft,state’s premier organization for promotion of tribal culture of Jharkhand, provided a platform for BITians also through a special BITian corner reserved for them. The local artisans also contributed for this exhibition,notable amongst them being Anuva Academy of Fine Arts,Dhanbad,Rajiv Agarwal, Guddu Kr,Mithilesh, Kishan to name a few.
SAMARPAN 2K18 started on 19th March after inauguration through lamp lighting by Institute’s director Dr D K Singh, accompanied by the professor in-charge of the club Prof R K Nayak, Jai Kumar Sachdeva, Prof Kunal Kumar amongst others.
The annual exhibition has a different theme for each edition with the current one being superheroes. Various superheroes namely, Wonder Woman, Thor, Batman, Spiderman and Green Lantern found themselves on different walls.
The main attraction of this event was the handmade decoration done by the members of the club including everything ranging from silhouette of superheroes to the decorative props for each one. The event garnered great response with the crowd disemboguing in the exhibition .
