“When educational institutions and industries tie knots, students and industrialists both share the fruits of collaboration.”

It is a well-known truth that for an educational institution to rise and soar, collaboration with industries is of utmost importance and necessity.

Keeping this facet of higher education in view, B. I. T. Sindri and SAIL-ISP signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 5th August, 2021. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. A. V. Kamalakar, CEO, SAIL, said that the MoU would benefit both the organizations by providing support to B.I.T. Sindri in finding solutions by removing technical bottlenecks. This MoU would also bestow opportunities to students for internships and projects. Students of BTech, MTech, research scholars and faculty members will be highly benefited through this understanding.

 Dr. D. K. Singh, Director, BIT Sindri said that our institution will benefit from this MoU by utilizing the capacity in their laboratories and innovation hubs and also providing technical support for joint projects through SAIL-ISP campus visits. The MoU document was signed by Dean Academics, BIT Sindri, Prof. Upendra Prasad. Dignitaries such as Mr. S. R. Das, Chief General Manager/Automation; Mr. Abhik Dey, Chief General Manager/Electrical & ERP and Mr. Gautam Bandyopadhyay, General Manager/Human Resource Development were among many present on the occasion. Ms. Dipanvita Patra, Manager/HRD was the master of the function.

The welcome address was given by Prof. Abul Kalam. Dr. Ghanshyam took the opportunity to give a vote of thanks.

On this significant occasion, all the Heads of Departments of B. I. T. Sindri were present in online mode. The program was conducted by Prof. Rajeev Ranjan, Member Secretary, IIIC Cell, B. I. T. Sindri.
